Dress Poll #2

Hello everyone- Sorry for the wonky layout of these pictures... Blogger is acting up and I don't have the patience to fix it, so hopefully you can follow along!

Here's another poll--

#1) What do you think of the hat (above)?

Dress # 5 - Back

Dress # 5 Front

Dress # 6 Back

Dress # 6 Front-- (Now, I will tell you that Jedi has voiced a strong preference against anything asymmetrical... So, I'm thinking that I may have to keep to that.)

Finally, Dress #7 (Which can come in white on top or other colors.)

Thoughts? I have lots more to tell you about dresses-- and how trying to find one makes me want to kill myself-- but that's for another post.

Now that I'm in this I suppose I should keep going. I like #5. : )

I also feel your pain on the bridal store trying on stuff front. I wanted to crawl into a hole and die after I went to a couple of stores. Not only did nothing fit (despite being a size 8/10) but they looked at me like I was something smelly under their shoe. I ended up getting an $80 dress at a consignment shop.

Good luck! And don't forget you do have a year to find this. You don't have to condemn yourself to being a sweat shop worker. (Remember what it was like working on your degree?)

Love the hat. Seems like it would go well with the cocktail-ish dress, maybe?

Yea! (Those are totally the answers I want to hear, btw.)

My mother HATES dress #5, but it's really the one I felt best in and keep thinking about.

I'm trying more dresses on Friday, but that one (with the hat!?) might just be it!

I really like #5 and the hat!

I think the dress-maker thing would be a neat experience, though. Despite her kookiness.

I mean, how many people can say "Oh, yeah, I worked in a dress shop."?
It's so . . . so . . . Real Women Have Curves. I don't know. I like it.
Plus, it would be nice to have a bit of extra cash, right?

Amilinda- Well, yes... but I actually have worked in theatrical costumes in the past (which is why she made the offer), and I wouldn't actually be getting paid... I'd be essentially working for "free" to pay for half of my dress. But I would still have to pay $800 out of pocket.

Dress #5 is on sale until the end of the month-- normally $1000, it's now $700.
